Injection motorcycle engine is a type of engine that uses a fuel injection system to regulate the amount of fuel that enters the engine's combustion chamber. The fuel injection system in an injection motorcycle engine consists of several main components, such as a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, and sensors connected to the engine control unit (ECU).
When the engine is turned on, the fuel pump will drain fuel from the tank into the injection system. The fuel pressure regulator will regulate the pressure of the fuel entering the injection system to keep it stable. Sensors such as the engine temperature sensor, air pressure sensor and throttle position sensor will send information to the ECU to regulate the amount of fuel that must be injected into the engine's combustion chamber.
After getting information from the sensors, the ECU will give an order to the injector to inject fuel into the engine's combustion chamber. The injected fuel will be mixed with the air entering through the intake manifold. This air and fuel mixture will burn in the engine's combustion chamber to produce power.
In addition to the fuel injection system, injection motorcycle engines also use a different ignition system from carburetor motorcycle engines. In injection engines, the ignition system uses sensors such as crankshaft position sensors and camshaft position sensors to send information to the ECU. The ECU will use this information to set the ignition timing so that optimal combustion occurs in the engine combustion chamber.
In this whole process, the ECU plays a very important role in regulating the fuel injection system and ignition system in injection engine engines. With the ECU, injection engines can work more efficiently and produce better performance compared to carburetor engines.
